Thats pretty clean fozz. It also has some modifications such as the fork brace. Do you know what else has been modified? does it have emulators? springs? etc. If its only got the fork brace i bet you could do 1000 to 1300. If its got any other mods you could probably pull up to 1600 depending on what the mods are. Fixing the starter sprague would get your money quicker most newbys get scared whaen they here that racket. Its not that difficult. Does it start first kick? hows the exhaust any rust????

its got an xs1100 front end so two disks new hagons it has none of those road rattles that old bikes seem to get its solid(in a good way!) as a rock on the road starts first kick i bought it as a winter bike but im not using it as its too nice so sadly i cant afford to keep it i`ve put a set of std front indecators on it and have got a rear set also but they need rewiring and it has a set of heated grips too. exhaust is solid but has surface rust around the brackets as has the front mudguard, tank could do with a respray but it cleans up ok. frame is a little scruffy but nothing huge it has a scottioler fitted

as i say i bought for the winter but its just not right taking it out in all the salt, im sure i can see the alloy fizzing like an alkerseltzer!!!

Quite a nice looking bike, Fozz. I concur with Roy's advice. Seems like any needed repair affects the value a lot more than the cost of the repair.

Got a question -- I've never seen an XS "US Custom" before. Never seen that side cover badge before either. What's the difference between it and the SG-flavored Special?

Best,

ichael

i think its the UK version of an SE. couldn`t be 100% on that but back in the day over here ANY bike with ANY hint of custom style had the Stars and Stripes thrown at it.... Smile
