This section will be a good addition to the site. Streettrackers are what got me interested in the XS and I originally planned on building one, but now it looks like I need to buy another one as I may leave my 82 like I have it now, or build a chopper from it.

It seems like people post pics in the forum but I don't see them. (Barrett post above). Do I click on something to bring up pic or should it come up in the post?

Looks good to me. Is that an 18 or 19 inch rear wheel?

Stock '81 Heritage. K&N filters in the stock box with extra holes drilled in it. TPR rear fender(Johnny Issac's shop is here in Tulsa). 2 into 1 header on this one. Jetted it up a little. Had to put alternator brushes in it. I added Barnett clutches and springs in it(found them at a Harley swap-meet). No, OK is pretty lax on the turn signal deal, cops are pretty easy to deal with, I got pulled over a couple of times, just so the officers could check the bike out. I just stuck 'em back on because I had them, and they worked. It is an 18" rear wheel off of an XS 400(you have to change the bearings and shim tube to fit a 650 axle).

Right now, this is my loaner and trainer bike. A whole bunch of guys and gals from work have been getting bikes to save a little gas money, plus, in Tulsa, there are like over 220 days of weather at or above 60 degrees a year.

It is probably going to be some bright yellow color with some retro Yamaha graphics. My HD buddies told me I could paint it any color except orange & black.

If you have your browser set up to block external images then you won't see the images hosted elsewhere.
