is anybody running one and did you increase your spark plug gap i'm running a sportster coil on my bike

I installed an Accel super coil last year. Increased plug gap to .035 inch (stock is .027 to .031). Bike starts instantly and runs real good.
It will draw a blue arch of 3/8 of an inch. Very happy with this coil. I plan to increase plug gap to .040 this spring as a trial.

artie; Yes, that's a 1.35 ohm ballast resistor. I decided to use the ballast to lower the current which would prevent damage to the points. Also lower current is good for the alternator.

I don't have any experience with CDI systems...............perhaps others on site can help out.

Electronic ignitions usually require a coil with 3 or less ohms resistance so, no, you wouldn't want to add any. Check your specs to see what the ignition requires and choose a coil accordingly.
