i just stripped down my carbs for inspection of the main jets that a so called 'bike mechanic' (swiss rip off by the name of HANS OSPELT here in the philippines, claimed to have worked for BMW m/c for 15 years!)...

enough about Hans who (alledgedly- but true) ripped off alot of other fellow riders here for more than a million pesos (about $25,000)..

my present problem is excessive fuel consumption & the plugs are really black. as the idiot 'drilled out' the jets to compensate for the k&n air filters and the modified pipes.

i would guess the main jets are in the float bowl assembly. right in the centre. i think under the hole where the needle jet slides down in the float bowl...

there is a small hole way down there (as pictured) but theres no way of removing it (eg: screwdriver slot)...

this has got me totally buggered! maybe hes removed the jets all together? surely the bike wouldnt run then...

any help greatly appreciated!

(wow... the holes are about 1.2mm round!)
