As the temperature begins to drop here, I am noticing that I have less power after the sun goes down. The bike is still useable, but it doesn't sound or feel quite right. I think it may be running too rich or lean, but I am not a mechaninc, and don't know how to tell. Anyone have any suggestions?
BTW, the bike is a 1970 XS1 in which I just recently installed new spark plugs and oil.

Cold air is denser which theoretically will make the mixture slightly leaner but I've never really noticed that I've got less power in cool weather, usually the opposite. I don't know anybody other than drag racers who rejets their carbs for weather changes.

You did replace with the same type plug? Usually cooler evening / night / morning air makes a engine run better unless your on the lean side to start. Along the same line as Sea level verse 5000 Ft. elevation. What color on your plug tips?
