I've pulled the motor out of the frame to do some modifications and I'm trying to give it a good cleaning without too much effort. There is a good bit of dirt and corrosion on the fins and I'm having a hard time getting in there to scrub it out. A friend recommended etching wheel cleaner for mag wheels. But, after getting the bottle home and reading the warning label, I'm not sure that it won't do more harm than good.
Any ideas? Thanks

hi i use an alloy wheel cleaner, just a cheap one as they dont seem to be to hard on the barral and block.BUT YOU GOT TO COVER ANY POLISHED ALLOY WITH DUCK TAPE AND POLYTHEAN. AND DONT LEAVE IT ON TO LONG ,YOU SHOULD ONLY HAVE TO DO THIS ONCE A YEAR IF YOU CLEAN YOUR BIKE REGULAR. well thats the way i do it
