Would these type of slip-on sportster mufflers fit on my XS?

look to have some tpye of cross over that the inlet end don't know and since most sportsters mount both exhaust on the same side I'd want to see the mounting brackets to make sure they would mount the same - you would be running one upside down muffler wouldn't care but how would it look? wounldn't want some funky bracket hanging out there

Some of the Sporster Muffs I saw had the mounts in the center without the tabs........Might be easier to mount.....??????
Like the second and third one down in the picture.......

those with the slash cut ends won't work one up one down, like I said most harleys sports have the mufflers on one side best thing to do is just ask the harly shop to look at their mufflers or ask a bunch of h-d riders if they have any they would like to sell

if you want cheap, good mufflers, go to a harley bike shop that works on older bikes. these guys buy up the oem exhaust that the new bike dealers remove. the pipes are usually brand new. harley makes many configurations of pipes. i have picked up many sets of mufflers for $25 - $30. they come in different lengths and some are fishtail. not all have the cross over tubes and some have lugs welded on so they can be mounted on each side of the bike. take something and knock the plug out if you want some more sound. they have good flow though, they were made for 1200 and 1340 cc bikes.
