so, i know now that my bike is not charging the battery properly, but i think i have far worse problems than that. I was on my last ride and one cylinder decided to quit working, after coming to the next rest stop the bike died and would not run. I got it home and got it running again, but the left cylinder is blowing white smoke out of the exhaust. What is the easiest way to tell if i messed up the piston or rings? I would assume a compression test? Let me know guys....Thanks

Check your compression first. There shouldn't be any white smoke as there is no water in these bikes.
