Anyone ever had this happen? I'm restoring my bike, got about 2500 in parts most of which i purchace from mikes. anyways riding in this morning my bike shuts down. no spark. Get to the shop have power to coil no ground signal. test pick and resistance is good but no trigger signal? huh? pull left cover off and WOW what a mess. The new rotor I bought split in two. Gernaded, damaged/melted pickup, brushes and holder and scard the piss out of the stator i just had rebuilt. So has anyone seen a rotor split in two? Told mikes i wasn't a happy camper. And he's gonna make good. But now I have to find a ride home and live 40 miles away.

Had two of Mikes rotors go bad on me as well. I am not bad mouthing Mikes, but it sounds like he has a big problem with the rotors he got. Sorry to tell him, but it looks like I am not the only one. Seems there isn't enough protecting the windings.

Had a few of them apart.....there is a press fit between the front and rear of the rotor....obviously the press fit wasn't substantial enough......
Wow what a mess.......
