Got most of the parts made for the girder front end, mostly happy because the length work out perfectly. Have to weld on front caliper brackets for my dual disc brakes. Also I still need to relocate gas cap / fill and petcock location due to the angle of the backbone. Hope to have it on the road by July.

That's gonna be a smooth ride when you are done...keeping the rear suspension and all. I bet it will be a wheelie machine as well!

I've had a few hardtail bikes and although I love the look and simplicity I want to be able to ride with a little comfort. I'll have to see on the wheelie thing, if it does that will be an added bonus.

Nice lookin chop! That's one hell of an angle on that tank.
If you make it up my way... be careful riding in WA state.. handlebar max is 18" above seat. People get away with mild apes here, but nothing that radical. The cops would be givin you all kinds of lovin.
Can't wait to see it finished!

I usually get the same "Lovin" on the Illinois side of the river here in St. Louis, Mo. as well. I just try and avoid driving by the donut shops.

Got more pieces of the build puzzle completed yesterday. Welded tabs on the girder front end for the dual disc brake calipers. Ordered brake lines and headlight mounting tab (There mighty proud of those judging by the cost). Welded on some mounts for the ignition coil above the top engine mount. Also welded up my sissybar. I'm hoping to get my welding work done on the gas tank next Saturday.

After all the work I put in to making the original kickstand to work with my bikes low ride heighth I got my swap meet find, $25, aftermarket kickstand on today. All I can say is it feels much more secure and stable than before.
