Hey guy's I have had the front wheel off my bike for tire replacment several time's over the years but this time I replaced bearing also.My question is after installing wheel back on bike and tightening up I notice a slight drag,If I loosen axel nut 1 cotter pin notch wheel spins real smooth.Am I missing something, should I let it tight and see if it lose's the drag after a few mile's or back it off a notch and run it?I should mention it's a 72,bearing I got from mike's.My method of installtion is install rotor assy snug that nut, install wheel and axel, tighten axel nut then clamp nuts. What you think. Thanks in advance

Could the disk be dragging a bit.....Bet all of them do that some...Have seen the spacer between the bearings a bit short to crimp the bearings when tightened but only once.....I'd run it a bit and then check it out.......If the wheel got real tight like the one I mentioned above then investigate..

You shouldn't tighten the axel nut too tight. If you're putting like 80 pounds on it, that's too much. Same thing happens to mine; too tight and the wheel doesn't spin freely. With mine, I make the nut tight with only about 15 pounds (I'm guessing) and then place the cotter pin. regardless of how tight or loose it is, with the cotter pin the nut can't move or come off.

If you have the manual, there is a torque spec in there for the front axle. Don't have mine in front of me right now, but sure it is in there.
