Just thought I'd say howdy. I picked up a couple 650's that supposedly "ran when parked" 8 or 10 years ago. I'm anxious to get 'em going down the road, but they are new to me. I worked on one a while back for a friend, carbs, swingarm, tach, blinkers, etc. Liked what I saw in the bike, for such a modern bike anyway. I've only worked on old Triumphs before (except for my kids xr80) so I like these xs650's already, kind of a Japanese Bonneville. Like to do a street tracker project...trim the bike down a bit.

My 1980 was parked for 17 - 18 years before I got it. New battery, clean carbs up, clean and seal tank, a little brake fluid and I was on my way. They are awesome machines!

Welcome to 650rider!!!!!!!!!!!
