got a little more done, got it into a roller. this should give ya a good idea where i'm going with this build. btw it is 9'3" long an 38" to the top of the top tree.

little update for ya all. got the lower & upper engine mounts in. got the upper mount crosstube brace in an these pixs dont show them but i got the rail cross members in now also

its an old school p&p hd set up girder. got it used from an indepenant shop for a steel. in fact i just sold that whole set up to a guy down in bama. i copied everything on that girder an will be making some in the future.

How did you mount that to the bike?
I have the exact same girder, (length and everything).. and Im having problems finding steering bearing that will work with the XS650 frame...

i used a HD style neck in place of the xs neck. i then took the neck and ran it on the lathe to bore out the inside of the neck so it could slide ove the hd neck like a sleeve so i could keep the stock vin #'s

hope that helps. you can get a neck like that from places like bitterend choppers. they run around $30 or so.
