I am thinking about rebuilding my motor and thought it might be easier to do if I had a stand for it. I am really looking for one that sits on top of a table since this will be done in my apartment and space is limited so I will be turning my kitchen and kitchen table into a work shop. If anyone has plans for one or knows where I can get one for the XS (they have them for Harly and some others) I would be very greatful.

Maybe tudawgs can help us as I think he just did his motor. I'll probably be doing mine next winter and my shop space is limited as well.

Did he post anything on that. If he did I might be able to draw up a plan for it. I think I will check out the Aussi web site. Let you know if I find anything

I use a standard $25 auto parts store engine stand with threaded rod cut to sito size for mounting bolts and5/8 pipe as spacers between the engine and the stand. It's a litlle bulkier but with casters on the engine stand it rolls out of the way nicely when it gets in the way of other things.

Thanks for the tip. I might have to give that a try.
