Hello out there. I got a couple of XS 650's for free and I am trying to put them together to make them work. Can't complain about the price though and I think I'm going to double the worth of the completed bike. (2x0=?) Anyhow, this is my first street-legal bike, and I have worked as an automotive mechanic for the better part of the last 12 years so I know how to turn a wrench and I'm not afraid to ask questions because, lo and behold, bikes are different!!! But enough about that, I am 26 and hail from central Pennsylvania, which is cold this time of year, but I hope to get in a ride or two before the snow flies. Gonna post some questions now, so I hope to hear from you soon......

Yeah, I grew up on a farm and, trust me, you learn early how to work on equipment. A local garage hired me to sweep floors, do oil changes, and that sort of thing, but within a few weeks I was "Project Mini-Mechanic."
