Oh! My! God! I've never seen footage of the IOM before--now when I hear some of the location names, I can put a face on them!
Cool sidecars, huh? The ol' XS and I could do that.......we just don't feel like it today, that's all......
(And if you'll go for that, I got a neat bridge that's for sale....)
Great clip! Thanks!

I apologize for the non-sidecar content, but have a look at this Barb!

Joey Dunlop on the TT with his commentary added, this is just part one. Dunlop won 26 tt victories, and wrenched on his own bikes all the way through his career.

So, where does one get a sidecar, if craigslist doesn't have any?

Wow! Amazing! I was distracted by his beautiful accent, but not so much as to miss the turns, and the stark difference between the shadows and the light....it must be absolutely the ultimate to race the IOM. I'd even love to just be able to ride the roads on a Norton (OK, a Manx, but still....) and play at being a racer....
Truly amazing!
Can anyone imagine riding that on a Manx? Big single OHC, four speed gearbox, drum brakes and no fairing....and averaging 90 mph. I would *SO* love to try that, just once....or twice.
Thanks for the clips--I love 'em!

Hi CC,
Well, if you want a sidecar, there are two sources: new from the manufacturer--there are several--or used on either C/L or eBay. I got mine on Craigslist--sometimes you just have to search a bit afield--maybe neighboring cities or even states (provinces, whatever). I see about half a dozen a year on C/L Seattle. Or you could advertise "wanted" and probably come up with something.
They're great fun, and worth the search---even worth the seemingly endless set-up of the outfit!

Cozy in India still manufactures sidecars; there is a dealer here in Victoria. robinsclassicmotorcycles.com/
I've looked at them close up and they are nicely made, would look great on the xs2 but well out of my price range at this time though, kids etc... someday I will have a sidecar. I enjoy the inspiration photos Gordon.
Nice pictures of some old british iron on the site as well. I guess I need to buy a lottery ticket! Here is a real TT racer for you Barb!

Where do you find this stuff? A meth-running '51 Triumph looking quite competent in a race with modern bikes! And not even a "kneeler"! That's some amazing riding, and some amazing engineering!
My ex brother-in-law used to race a 750cc-kitted XS650 with a chair in the dirt here in the Pacific Northwest. Never did much in the way of trophies, but he had a great time.
Anyway--just "Wow"!! That clip is something even Chris Vincent could be proud of!!
Thanks!

Just another thing to work on

ehh; youll get that. Still way cool bike. I see a brand new gsxr out of the crate with a leaking fork seal 100 miles later. I am undecided about the bag bike side car or now the xsl bike with car. I kind of like the on off road look hacks. Scott; does a taller tire work better then a lower tire on the hack? 2ndly is there a dual sport type hack tire that your aware of? There is a woman from willmington vermont whom races xs 650 side hack at loudon. My freind stanley has done some work for her and I think he got a ignition module from me for that bike. but its cool and mayby i can get some pics of it.
