Niiiiiiiiccce.........I will do the negs first
Was a great looking B
Your neighbors will hate you for your straight pipes
The positives: What you have done to that bike looks fantastic, love the silver and the wheels painted black with the silver rims set it off.
I ran cut off's on one of my bikes so i got some chicken wire and rolled up a compressed tube and rammed it up the exhaust, drilled a hole on the end and inserted a nail to stop the wire from blowing out. keep it quite enough when idling (neighbors/cops sake) but sang beautifully on throttle. Gives it some slight back pressure as well

yea, I do agree and if I could do it over again I would have restored it. ddin't really know what I had till it started cutting it up. The exhaust is loud, the slip came loose on I-95 and I haven't seen it since.

If you haven't sold the old parts it would still make it worth more if/when you sold it.

Very much like what you did. Do you plan on adding any gauges in the future? Is that a stock headlight and where did you get your ears?

You totally destroyed a museum quality classic blue t-shirt. |
- R O F L ! ! ! - I love the detail on the wheels. Did your friend use any type of primer, and is the black paint a Duplicolor product ? I was going to swap out the shouldered spoke rims on my ' 74 TX,but the black centers and spokes of your wheels look fantastic! Looks like I will be buying tubes and rimstrips afterall. BTW,your bike looks outstanding!

Well now that I sent you a PM....where did you get the bars? Am I missing something? I don't see a front fluid resevoir(sp). Along with what I already asked.

sorry fellas, being a new dad is soaking up most of my time..
the wheels were done with a 2-part wheel paint. I work for mercedes-benz and it's good wheel paint. no rattle can.
the silver is MB SLR silver.. it really pops in the sun.
yes the cafe tail is from omars and the quality and fitment are top notch.
the bars, headlight, etc are all from MIKESXS.
I have new guages to install. I got rid of the whole gauge bezel to include the ignition switch.
everything black has been powdercoated
I installed the front brake with a new goodridge SS line, but the master started leaking. so I need to replace that.
basically every area of the bike has been address. all new seals, bushings, etc have been done. this bike took about a year to complete.
I plan to pull the engine, do a big bore kit and paint the engine.
I get the most completments on the wheels.. they turned out awesome and I still need to polish the lip.
i'll post more photos soon...
does anyone know if this bike would fetch 3k? I love building more than riding and I want to do a bobber next.

Thruxton is nice. I have a 02 Bonneville "Centennial" that I wouldn't think of parting with.

from what I gathered it's an old kerker 2-1... I really need to get an updated exhaust. can't seem to find anything nice.

Looking real good bro. This makes me want to start ripping mine apart, but I already have the garage full with my 2009 Polaris 550 IQ Shift being ripped apart I will get back to you about the paint job asap. I might just cut the fenders how I want them and send everything out now.
