I got some nice shouldered alloy rims that I want to slap on my bike but the spokes are pretty rusty. Anyone have any tips on how to get that rust off??

Lots of elbow grease. Steel wool and metal polish.

I just bought a blast cabinet and I'm going to try glass beading an old aluminum rim with spokes. I'll let you know how it turns out.......BG

Its a bit time consuming and you need to tape up any part of the rim you dont want blasted and dulled by the glass beads. Once the spokes are free of rust you need to either polish or paint them or they will have rust again within a very short time........BG
