Just wondering what jetting changes for stock cv carbs with straight pipes and pod filters you guy might have used. I don't have any pilot screws on this, so I was going to drop the pilot down one and add about 2 to the main jet. Any input will help, Thanks

You have pilot screws, they're just hiding.
It's all in here;

It's really remarkable that a document like this exists for 30 year old bikes. These guys know how to do it right. Thanks grizld1, 5twins, crazypj, and pamcopete.

That's what I thought too, but I looked for 20 mins and no pilot screws. I have the rear air jets, pilot jets and Mains and that's it, even the needle jet only have one position, so you have to change the whole needle for adjustments! I have worked on a LOT of carbs and never seen nothing like this.
Do you run straight pipes and aftermarket filters? If so, what do you jet to?

That said if you turn the screw out it will richen the mix, that is backward from all the carbs I have ever seen. In lessens the air and richens the mix, wierd.

You found them!
Running stock boxes and bs38's on my old 72, can't help with your jetting. XSjohn sells highly rated needles that are adjustable, and I think the Canadian models had adjutable needles as well. xsjohn has the scoop on bs34's, try searching his posts
Generally if the air/fuel screws are on the airbox side of the slide/jet they are air screws, and if they are on the engine side they are fuel screws.

The cure is vm carbs. Ive come close with the bs carbs but never satisfied. John bless his heart has litterally thousands of hours trying to get these right and claims he has but he to is still working on them. Just my opinion.
