im bulding a 72 chop. built a 2 into 1 intake to run 1 carb, cause it looks cool. problem im having is at low rpms in gear it chugs. also when im holding a steady speed it seems to bog down. think im to rich?

Can you explain more what you mean by 'bog-down' ?
'chugging ' sounds like over-rich (cruise=needle setting)if it was weak Id say more like 'hunting'..

its almost like its missing when im tring to hold a steady speed. plugs are a dark brown
