tron, on my '80, the stock master cylinder has a switch incorporated into it. So you can measure up the amount of line you need, then go to a speed shop(summit, jeg's, ect.) & get the line from Russell product's. They are fairly easy to assemble, & fitting's are also available from Russell. BTW, R ussell is a product from Edelbrock, so ... Gordo

Banjo bolts with a built in brake switch are available as well. Speigler or Goodridge maybe?
I can't recall the brand at the moment, but my local shop had a few suggestions, one supplier sells a 6 foot length of line and all the bits and you can swage it together yourself. It was quite economical to do two bikes this way.

i dont care so much about the brake switch, i just want to get the line done, i dont know what size thread the caliper uses, my 76 doesnt have a banjo on the caliper
i need to know the sizes of the threads on the hardline to the caliper so i can get lines or adapters for mine. i have stainless lines i got from mcmaster for like $12 ive used them on oil feeds on turbos on cars there nice and cheap

I know that they're metric, as the size's, I'm not sure. The banjo bolt's are 10mm X 1.25mm. Mike's has them.Search the brake thread's, this was discussed about a month ago, & size's were listed then.

well, 1/8 brake lines seem to thread in just fine, but they leak.. 10mm seems to be the close metric size.. anyone know where i can get a brake line that will go right from the handle bars to the caliper?

ask at a good auto supply who make brake or hydraulic hoses in your area usually they can match fitting and make any lenght you want
