Well, I already bought it -- So the question now is will this suit my needs for a dual caliper set-up on a '79 Special, or did I blow my $80.00?

My eyes just kind of glazed over when I saw the SHINY.

Thx.

Your chrome m/c with a 12.7 mm bore may be to small for a dual caliper set up on you 79. You may run out of lever travel before the brakes will work. On my 75 with a 79 front end with dual disc I'm using a 16mm bore m/c. It works very well. You can try your new m/c, it may work ok. It might work better with a single caliper, it's closer to the 11mm bore that works with the single caliper.
