My speedo makes noises.
Its quiet and wham loud grinding noise which startles me.

Does anyone know if a set from an 84 maxim would work on a 79SF?
Thanks
Rickrod

I was told by a very reliable source (Yamaha mechanic for 20+ years), that all cable driven Yamaha tacho's & speedo's are the same. Even the tacho's & speedo's are interchangeable, so you can hook the speedo cable to the tacho, find out what numbers mean what speed and use that!

You'll even find that Suzuki, Honda & Kwaka's will mostly work, though calibrations will probably differ!

Cheers
