I have a 1972 XS with front disk and the wheels are pretty rough. What years will the wheels interchange? I am looking for some newer ones and need to know what to look for?

I'm a little less than sure about the XS-2, but it is my understanding that any drum brake XS/TX650 wheels are a direct swap onto your bike. If you acquire a post 1976 wheel you will need to swap your front brake rotor onto it.

So all pre 76 wheels(XS) will fit on the 72. That makes sense they look the same really. I am new to these bikes and have not quite found all the interchange info as of yet. Stand by for more questions.

All of the wheels interchange, but you can't use the '77 and later brake rotor. I don't believe you would have any trouble bolting your rotor on an '83 wheel. I don't believe the XS-2 is an exception. Hopefully, some one will chime in and confirm this for you.
