I am about to fit an old style tank ('70-'74 - with the flatter sides) onto a newer (1980) frame.
The old style tank suits my tracker look better and looks a bit different!
It looks like I can just remove the cresent shaped mounting lugs from the front of the frame and weld on a new set about 1" further forward. I can also use the existing rear mounting point.
I have checked the steering lock and handlebar clearance and they are fine.
Has anyone done this mod before, and made any mistakes I can learn from?
Thanks
