okay i was riding my bike and i blow a fuse replaced fuse and nothing it won't turn over and it won't kick the lights all come on but nothign else. I am about to pull my hair out tring to figure it out can any one help? I have checked the soleniod by jump the cables and it will turn over but not fire. even tryed to push start the damn thing but just ended up out of breath and really pissed. Any help would be great. is ti possible to by pass the starter and soleniod and make it kick only

handle bar kill switch in right posistion? is it working correctly? get a wiring diagram and start chasing wires - it really helps if you give year and model also

1980 650 xs and yes swicths are all in right spots and and i have a wiring diagram and have chase thru the harness and haven't found any cracked or broken wires i am at a lost

USE A VOLTMETER OR TEST LAMP TO SEE IF YOU ARE GETTING VOLTAGE AT THE COILS (oops caps) voltage may not be going thur kill switch or not making contact at main switch, from red at main switch it needs to make the brown hot it powers everything else

thanks i will do that. do you know if you can bypass the soleniod and starter and make it kick only? I have make this bike into a bobber hardtail and i want as little wiring as possible if you can help cool if not thanks for the help you have give

you could put it one of the starter hole plug blanks from mikeXS to eliminate the starter and remove the solinoid and relay, stripping out the wiring thur the loom all the way to the handlebar switch if you really get serious, no problem, as far as no fire check your plugs and plug wires/caps and check connections to and from CDI unit, you should be getting a firing pulse from the CDI to the coils

found a inline fuse and it was blown removed and it runs great
