Ok, Im in ned of som serious help, i have been wanting to run a 21in front on my 75 xs650. I read in a forum where you can relace the existing xs hub to a 21 in yz 250m rim. I got the rim and the laces that go with it but the shop just called me and the laces for the yx 250 rim wont work. oh and heres the best part thay had already unlaced my old wheel before they figured this out. I have a xs 650 front hub that needs to be laced to a yz250 takasago excel rim, i bought them oem laces that went with the rim from yamaha. Any help would be appreciated!!!

For oddball conversions like that, I know of only one place that might be able to help you: Buchanan's.
www.buchananspokes.com/
They're not cheap, but they do top notch work.
Best,
Michael

first of all any 36 spoked rim can be laced to a 36 hole hub. The trick is getting the correct length spokes. Are your spokes to long or to short? If there 2 long then you can rethread them down to length to get the job done. If there to short call bucanaan and get the right ones.
