What is the process to remove the rear springs from the shocks? I know there must be an easy way.

if you've got the shocks off the machine just take them to a dealer who has a press to compress the springs the tension on these springs are nothing to mess around with using some kind of home built jerry rigged setup or go to a auto supply and buy a spring compressor but dealer would probably be cheaper unless you are doing more than one set
