I’m in the process of designing an exhaust system. The aim is a sporty cafe XS650 with a broad power band. Ultimately, I plan on a 750 kit, porting, etc.
Maybe a rephrase and cam even.

It seems the consensuses for the head tubes is 1-1/2” OD, so I’m going that way unless someone can talk me into 1-5/8”. The pipes will be butt welded mandrel bent SS tubes.
I also plan on fabing up my own stainless mufflers. I’m thinking of a straight through design with maybe the option of a baffle plate (shown in the photo). I’m curious as to whether anyone has any experience with this type of thing.
I have attached a SolidWorks drawing of a tentative design. It’s not worked out yet, but I’m hoping for some input.
(I would be happy to share these plans once I get em done)
