O.K. I have an engine and carbs from an 1972 Yamaha XS2, so I figured I'd visit my local bike wrecker yard and see If I could find an old frame for this motor and start a build project. The problem is, I could not find a frame or anything else from a 1972 XS2. So the next quesiton is, what other year yamaha frames will fit this engine? I have no welding skills, so I don't want to use something 'close' that requires me to cut and move any mounting tabs or anything so drastic.

Any info is appreciated.

There are some engine related items, cylinders, gears that are year specific but the engine will fit any year XS frame. I don't know a thing about registering MC's in Canada but XS's are titled to the frame #
