Hi Pierre,

Nobody will be able to give you exact jet modifications for your carburator, but I'm sure someone can get you close. From there, you will need to look at your spark plugs and see how the engine is running.

You'll need to give more information first though:
What air filters are you using? Stock (that came with the bike), or something else?

Are there any other engine modifications?

Hi Again, Soll,

I may get stepped on by others with more knowledge than myself.. but using this chart that shows stock jet sizes:
img163.imageshack.us/i...cs1qb3.png

This is what I would do...

If only replacing the exhaust:
Up one size on the mains (125)

If replacing both intake and exhaust:
Up 3 sizes on the mains (127.5)
Up 1 size on the pilots (27.5)

After that, you'll need to buy a few sets of plugs and tune it in from there, or take it to a dyno.

Remember every bike is different - the best anyone can tell you is how to get close enough to fine tune it for yourself.

xsjohn has a lot of great knowledge as do many others around here. Hopefully they will put in their advice too. But in the end, you'll most likely have to do some work on tuning it to your exact setup.

Something else - call the distributer and explain to them what setup you want and ask them what they suggest.

Either one will work well. Alot of people running both. Some say the 34mm's are not enough, others say the 36mm's are too much. I guess it all depends on what you plan on doing to the motor. 750 or bigger kit, I would go with the 36mm's, stock size motor, the 34mm's will be fine.

Hi Pierre,

You should call Michael at 650central.com. The pipe size is too large for the engine and it won't breath. Michael will suggest an anti reversion cone at the port of the engine and a custom made smaller diameter pipe inserted into the end of the pipe.

The pipes you have are great for 7500 to 9000 rpm, 750cc and 13 to 1 compression ratio. They will need to be modified heavily to carburate any where close to properly with a stock engine.

I ran a 1 1/2 campbell x-pipe, switched to a set of omars 1 3/4 mile pipes without changing anything. I also was told these pipes were to big for a stocker, couldnt prove it by me. I got more low end than before and it sounds alot better too.
