No no no no no, you buy the puller from mikes for $10. Every XS owner needs one. Plenty of stuffed rotors around from not using it!

More questions, someone please post an answer, I am setting to assemble the thing and dont want to do it wrong.

The rear tensioner, how tight is that center bolt supposed to be. Mine wasn't that tight, and does it auto adjust or manually screwed in tighter when it gets noisy.

Cos if it was letting the chain loose, it can both bunch up at the bottom and jam the crank, as well as scrape the bottom and make nice shredded aluminum.

The cyl cam chain tunnel is clean, no signs of a scrape. The only part I think can be scraped is that part by the bottom which I cant see yet, the rest is all great.

The other Q I had was, the points and the timing rod etc, can it be removed with the engine still in the frame. Also does it get burnt etc if its not used cos I am going to fit the 82 stuff on the crank and use that.

Then, how much preload is put on the kick start spring ? Like we pull the spring and hook it on right, Do we attempt to pull it around the shaft a whole circle ? 1/2 a circle, how do I put it on.

Thanks in advance.

Cool.
Srinath.
