Performing a Kreem procedure on my tank this weekend and have a question on reinstalling the petcocks. Removed them from tank and they appear to have been mounted with a tacky substance (silcone sealer?). What has anyone else out there used (if anything) during the re-install. Thanks in advance for the help.

Mine were not...just the rubber gasket and then I had two gasket material screw washers that went around the mounting screws

I've used inner tube material under blank/block off plates. For the petcock just the o-ring.
