A good fastener company like Fastenal would have it, possibly even a good general purpose hardware store.

I've read about needing them for certain generator mods or maybe certain years (?). In that case, maybe Mike's would have them. On my year and with stock electronics steel screws are fine.

Small notation needed....'Nylon' is DuPont's name for their family of polyamide thermoplastic resins. ie Nylon is a "plastic"... Just make sure you don't use a different type of plastic screw of inferior heat and petrochemical resistance. Blue

Well, Nylon 6/6 has a melting point of 500F, so it is ideal for this application.

When buying screws, one can buy "nylon" screws or one can buy "plastic" screws. One should buy "nylon" screws for this application.

The nylon screws sold by www.smallparts.com are made of 6/6 Nylon.

You could get into a discussion with the seller of plastic screws and state that you want a plastic screw with a melting point of 500F, and the seller would probably state that what you want is a Nylon 6/6 screw. You could, then, correct this misguided individual and explain to him that Nylon is just another plastic compound. The seller, more interested in selling screws than learning about them, would then agree with you and sell you some "plastic" screws with a melting point of 500F.

The sales receipt for this purchase of plastic screws would state that you in fact had bought nylon screws. Laughing
