k, i'm new at this and have been fooling around with my xs650. i have read all the posts I can find about switching handlebar sizes, but maybe it's cause i'm a newbie, but I still dont understand why you cant simply switch to 1" bars (if you change the risers) and then add 1" controls and just hook those up to the throttle, brake and clutch cables. Can some one please explain it in very SIMPLE terms to me why 1" controls wont just hook up to the thottle, brake and clutch cables from my xs.

thanks,
chuck

You would think they would hook right up. Now the electrical controls ont he handle bars would have to be rewired in but I wouldn't that to be a biggie

Take your cordless Sawzall to any Harley (ghey?) bar and cut yerself a complete unit. Easy-peezy.
