heres the vin title and original yammy factory vin sticker reads "JYA4M400 2 BA013256"
stamped vin reads"4M4 013256"
i had the same issue with my 81 honda cb 750.Only reason im curious is beacuse i wanna blast and coat the frame and take the svin sticer off.

except for the JYA at the start and the 00 2 BA part in the middle of your sticker and title number they do match the stamped frame number.
I think that Yamaha or your state added the extra letters and numbers to get 17 didits in the number.
It was some when around then that they started to use a 17 digit vin. Before that they used the number as it was on the frame.
If you already have the title in your name, I wouldn't worry about it. If not just use the numbers on the paper work, most DMV workers won't look at the bike any way.
