I need a tan for my XS and I'm not sure what I want. I had planned on using the stock tank until I found out it won't fit when I chop the frame. I also don't want a sportster tank, they look cool but everyone has them, so I want something differant. I was thinking a mini-mustang or a wassel. Anybody got those on your bikes with a chopped frame? I like the triumph tanks too... I'm also looking to spend no more than $150... what do you guys think could look good???

Did you see the one on Mikesxs? There may be some old ones around on Craigslist or Ebay off say an old Moto-Guzzi or Triumph that could be modified to fit your new backbone.

aren't Mike's tanks the same length of the stock tank??? For that to fit, i'd have to chop the back 4" or 5". I've been looking on ebay and craig's list. I'd like new so I can just prime and paint it. But i've also been looking on CL for used tanks.

I like the look of that Mudd... I think you've sold me on the mustang... I've also seen one called the UFO??? It's pretty much a stang with the center 4" or so cut out... looks pretty slicks... escpecially on these smaller bikes.
