No XS-450. Suzuki made a 450 parallel twin and Kawasaki made a 440. Yamaha only made a 250, 400, 500 and 650 (there might have been a 360 in some markets but I have never seen one.) The 500 does not really belong with the others as it was an early attempt at 4-valves per cyclinder, DOHC, whereas the others were all 2-valve SOHC designs.

Correct. Re. the XS360--it was sold on the US market only in the 1976 model year and is the same scoot as the XS400 except for the displacement bump from 1977 on. No resemblance to the XS650 in mechanical or cosmetic design. Strong design similarities in the engine and bodywork to the XS500. I bought and set up a 360 as a learner bike for my girlfriend earlier this summer. It's not as clunky as the Kaw 400/440, not as nimble as the Hondas and Suzukis in that displacement range, but it should hold up to the usual first bike abuse, poor thing.

Honda also had a CB450 Custom, vertical twin similar in styling to the XS Specials. I've got an XS400SJ Heritage, nice looking bike but way different mechanically than an XS650, it's a 180 degree crank phasing instead of 360 like the XS650. It kind of reminds me of my old 350 Honda but it's a way better bike. I've got cafe bars mounted and the thing is really good in the twisties.
