Fuel... is cold.
When ignited, it burns.
Then it's hot... really hot.
It burns... Burns... BURRRNSSS!
So be safe and don't light up with that gas cap off... ^_^

I've stopped drinking water ....
I have seen what it does to the bottom of boats

Let me add to be sure to wear safety glasses when spraying carb or parts cleaner, especially when spraying into little holes.

Try dropping a match on a puddle of juice & it will often douse the flame ..On a warm day its the evaporating fumes that ignite quickest !

Guy's, want to have some fun?? Get a length of 3/4" hose, & then siphon some fuel from your saddle tank. Once you finally get it to run, get yer arse to the neerest water hose & proceed to flush out ALL of the oriface's in your head.Oh, don't even try to breath for about 3-4 minute's, as the fume's will prohibit such a foolish attempt. Thought I was gonna die! Almost as dumb as trying to 'outrun' the fire on the shirtsleeve.

When I was 10, I was helping dad in the shop by wiping down a carb with this carb cleaner called dragon fire. Shoved the rag I was using in my back pocket and started doing other stuff.
About 20 minutes later, I though my butt was on fire! Big red sore splotch on my butt for about a week!
32 years later, I still remember it like it happened yesterday! I've have all the pockets in my coveralls sewed up. Won't happen to me again!

there is a right and a wrong way to use a siphon hose... wrong way suck on it...
right way insert hose down into the liquid letting the fliud come up the hose, the more of the hose you can get down into the liquid the better, cap the end on the hose with your thumb or pinch the hose shut, pull enough of the hose out to below the tank fuel level, lower the hose down into your fill can and let it pour......

Jayel, that don't work so well when the filler is in the left tailite. Gotta suck like hell, then when it come's over the top, hopefully ya get it into the contaner, instead of flushing your skull with the fuel. 'Course the 3/4 inch hose didn't help, but I was in a really big hurry. See what happen's when I rush thing's, Murphy show's up everytime.

I finally decided I didn't like drinking gas, so I got one of those jiggle siphon hoses. Stick down in the gas, jiggle up and down and the oneway valve does the work. Tastes much better that way.
