Like so many comments and suggestions I have read on this forum I to am replacing the original fuse box. However, I do need a quick easy answer from an electrical smart guy. My fuse box is of course quite old, and the previous owner just replaced all of the fuses with the same amps. As you stand behind the bike looking at the handlebars which fuse is the 20amp and which is the 10amp. I believe this is the correct order from left to right.
10amp--10amp--10amp--20amp
I am replacing with inline blade fuses in rubberized fuse holders. I am using heat shrink tubing and crimp connectors to connect the new wires with the old. Also by using the inline I can route the wires a little better to hopefully cut down on the pressure of the seat pan on the battery and isolate some of the vibration.

the 20A main is red-red in and out, 10A headlight red/yellow-red/yellow, 10A signals brown-brown, 10A ignition red/white-red/white, crimp connectors can be iffy after time, solder them if you can, a cheap soldering iron from radio shack is less than $10, disadvantage from a higher priced gun is heat up time so if you don't use it a lot you don't need to spend a bunch to get something that will do the job right

Complete. Jayel, I appreciate the comment about crimp connectors but I figure if I get half the life out of them as I did out of that glass fuse tray I can't complain. Besides my soldering skills are terrible. I have included a couple of pictures of the old vs. the new. I feel much more confident about this part of the electrical system at least.
