I have a 79 650 Special. JC Whitney offers a sport seat by Saddleman that replicates the KZ LTD seats. They claim it will fit the original stock XS seat pan. Just wondering if anyone has purchased and installed one with any luck.

I recently put a travelcade seat cover on my 78 SE, I think it looks great! The fit was perfect!

My bike came with a seat cover installed and it looks new. The brand is Travelcade .They make one for a Special too I think. If you can't find that saddleman that you need.

After reading your post and actually paying attention I think what you are looking for is a different style of seat. Now the option from JC W. does it include the seat foam as well? I would think it would need to if the KZ LTD differs at all from the stock 78/79 seat. I think saddleman covers are nice and have only heard good things about them.
Since I already took the pictures, here is my Travelcade seat cover Model Y681. Again very happy with it!

Yeah I was after the LTD design. My brother in law has a 440 ltd with that seat and I love the feel. It does come with the foam and cover over the foam. They claim it will fit the stock seat pan. I will post a link to it asap.

Here's the one I have. Make a reasonable offer. I need funds to restore the '75.
The seat's in great shape and VERY comfortable. The pan has very minor surface rust, all bumpers, document holder, battery diagram, etc. The ONLY thing it needs is one of the little clips that keeps the side trim tight.

Is it a side hinged "special" type. I guess the pans are different between a standard and special. Looks good but not excactly what I was after.

Saddleman does carry the ltd with a seat pan for the xs standard and special after looking further. Scotts yours does look similar. I will think about what Im going to do. The seat I have on now was redone by Rayco a few years back and still looks great, just thinking about a different look and feel.
