'H' Special with start lockout switch to clutch lever. ( i assume that is what it is!!)
I broke the switch trying to disconnect it. Will it start with this wire not connected? Not concerned if start lockout doesn't work or not, just not sure when it makes a circuit & when it breaks the circuit.
Thanks in advance, Mark

you will need to put a jumper in the loom side plug Mark (black to black/white to complete circuit) for it to start

markee,
Well, that switch is available from Mikes for $6. Part Part #12-0013.
Although we all rant about all the Ralph Nader safety crap on the bike, this is one item that I think is a good idea. In fact, I installed one on my '78/E.

That switch is definitely a good idea if you're one of those who occasionally loans his bike to a friend. . . .
I don't loan, and I know most of us don't, but there are still a few who haven't learned.
