wirein kit questions!!!! help meh please!!!

hi long time no post at all every one still here? and how are you all doing?
ok i finaly have a job and with some luck in the next few months i will be able to get back on my build that have been set on the back burner for more than a year now! my issue is as follows, i am slowly peacing togueather what i want my bike too look like and what i want it to do. my problem is space.
im building a softail bobber and i have most everything but the battery worked out i have no idea where im guna put the batery i have heard and seen a few posts on some smaller jell baterys that run minimal electrics but i may just end up with ecesive electrics so dose any one know of smaller more powerful baterys or at least one the same size that is stronger or atleast easyer to hide?
the other issue is wireing my bike is a 73 so the wirein is old and britle im sure it is still useable but to me the electrics will be the last thing before paint so when i strip the bike to prep and mod the frame should i keep close tabs and catalog where all my wireing went or should i just chunk it all and pick up a wireing kit? and dose any one know where they might sell a wirein kit? well one that is worth 2 shits lol
