I recently bought a 1980 XS650SG in great shape except for two issues. First was the headlight, FIXED thanks to 650rider.com, second is the front tire. It has numerous small cracks in the tread pattern and around the sidewalls. I wanted to get some ideas for the best tire for the buck for Colorado's climate. I will ride only in the spring summer and fall as I am to much of a beginner to chance any winter riding. Climate here is warm and dry with occasional rain. I have heard Bridgestone Bt45 but would like to stay in the 50.00 range. Bike has a new Klenda tire on the back. Any suggestions?

If you are running a Kenda on the rear, put the same on the front. Just do it soon, with all those small cracks, it's a blowout just waiting to happen.
