already have 3 that need a rebuild kit... either need a working unit, or kit. any leads?

I suppose I could use one up to 1975 or so? (or anything really). I'm not that picky.

Doug, there are kits available out there, but they are pricey...60 to 80 bucks.The OEM part number for the kit you need for the early master cylinders is 1A0-W0041-00-00, just do a google search for that number and you'll find several folks that sell the kits.

I've got one that the piston seems to retract fine. No idea how well it builds pressure. I won't be using it so if you are interested, let me know. I've already PM you re. exhaust parts.
