Is it possible to ditch the electronic ignition? I chopped my bike and am rewiring it, and would like to make it really simple...like...headlight taillight battery reg/rec. And that's all. Because right now the harness is huge and ugly.

Collin, the TCI is actually a simple unit with a small 'controller' assy that can be tucked away somewhere(as long as it get's some air for cooling).
There is the Pamco unit that's available, too. But you would need the whole kit with the rod & bushing's to install it.
Also, you would have to rewire the charging system without the TCI.
There are several wiring diagram's under the electrical section for a simplified harness, you'd make the whole harness yourself. And if you run into trouble, Jayel has posted quite a few diagram's himself.
Good luck,,,Gordo
