I've read a number of threads about converting brake lights over to LED's and the general consensus seems to be that most mods don't cover the license plate lighting requirement.

Anyhow, long story short, I found this aftermarket source on ebay that seems to cover all of the bases.

I ordered one up, and will get back to you with photos once it arrives and is installed.

Most of the after market tail lights have the white LED's pointing at the lisence plate. When you modify the stock light to LED's You have to add some white LED's pointing at the plate.
