Hello all! New guy here. Just bought a chopped '75 and am having trouble out of the carbs. Low speed and low throttle suck. It has drag pipes on it and I am sure the carbs haven't been jetted because the bike sounds like a roadside 4th of july tent. Not really good with carbs and have read a ton of stuff on what i should look for. Does anybody have an idea as to where to start on the jet sizes and where in the carbs? When the bike pulls through the gers it runs good. Thanks in advance for the responses.

2 sizes larger for each mod, i.e. pod filters and drag pipes would cost you 4 sizes up on the jets. This is just a start though, you should probably buy one above and one below in sizes to tune with. This goes for both pilots and mains.

No problems man, I ask so many questions on this forum it isnt funny. Everyones extremely nice and helpful.

Just to give you an example on my jets, I have 78 BS38 Carbs, open pipes, and pod filters, I have 4 steps up on the main and 5 steps up on the pilot. Seems to be running great. But just remember, every motor is different, so you might need a different setup then mine.
