Well, it's a good thing that your fangs aren't long enough, John. It would hurt you a lot more if you BIT the TV set.

I have an issue with my speedo sending unit. that sound a let like yours.
y speedo was work just fine. doing a ride the adaptor at the sending unit sided out the cable was still locked out to the adaptor. i did not see anything missing and put the adaptor with cable back in. The speedo never turned again. I even tried a spare speedo and cable. with no change.

Did you ever fix the issue with you sending unit?
Did you have to get new parts and were did you fined them?

When I bought my bike the speedo was broken so I was not sure what the actual problem was. In the end I bought two speedometers off ebay of which one was bad. I also replaced the cable and carefully inspected, cleaned and lubed the sending unit, which looked good. Mine could have had been a combination of things but it's back together and working good.

I'm not sure but it kind of sounds like the sending unit maybe your issue. Did you happen to try switching cables with the tack?
