In an effort to help a would be seller with no paperwork I'm trying to identify a Yamaha which chassis wise looks like a 79/80 XS but has a different 2 cylinder engine, chain driven made in late 79' the VIN # is 3F9-005424 and whatever it is, it is not something I've seen before. Help please. Blue

Just tried a google search for "yamaha vin 3f9" and it yielded a few hits for a XS400...

Thanks Chris that's the clue I needed.....it's a 1980 XS 400 SG I was lost looking in the opposite direction size wise.
